International Glass Festival in Black Country

Some of the best present day glass makers in Britain will showcase their work at the four day International Festival of Glass across historic settings in England’s West Midlands (Aug. 25-28). The festival will include exhibitions, demonstrations, family activities and lectures, concluding with the British Glass Biennale competition.

The festival will include exhibitions, demonstrations, family activities and lectures, concluding with the British Glass Biennale competition.

Held in venues in Stourbridge and Dudley the event celebrates the history of English glass making in The Black Country since the 17th century and reinforces the fact that studio glass is still thriving in the area, with Elton John and Bill Gates among many high profile glass collectors.
