Luxury West Coast hotel, Ardanaiseig, has won The Scottish Romantic Hotel of the Year Award 2006, in recognition of its unique romantic charm.

Ardanaiseig, which enjoys a wildly seductive setting on the shores of Loch Awe, has an array of romantic bedrooms, including a recently completed luxury boat shed conversion.

Manager Peter Webster, who was also highly commended as Hotel Manager of the Year 2006, says:

We are thrilled that Ardanaiseig has done so well again in the awards. Scotland has so many excellent hotels these days, and to be voted top by both the public and well-travelled judges is an enormous privilege and credit.

The Scottish Hotels of the Year Awards is the largest national awards event for the hotel hospitality industry, highlighting excellence and specific achievements in many categories. The awards are judged by a panel of sixteen expert judges that included Marco Truffelli of VisitScotland.com and former AA chief hotels inspector David Young. The judges were aided by the biggest ever public online vote on hotels in the UK in which more than 25,000 votes were logged.
